Southwest of the Gavia pass is the 1896 m s.l.m., high Mortirolo pass. In the surrounding area, the pass connects a whole network of hiking trails and easy roads. It is an ideal alternative route between Aprica and Stilfser Joch. Wikipedia

Relatively little-used and very scenic mountain pass over the Mortirolo. Steep, with an average of 8.1% slope and 1134m difference in altitude to the pass. Due to the moderate traffic very pleasant to drive. A great motivational aid are the posted at a distance of 1 km signs that inform you about the distance traveled, the current altitude and the average and maximum gradient on the next kilometer.
