The AUBRAC is geared towards pasture farming. Flat areas were all converted into meadows; Trees can only be found in small groups, mostly in steeper and rocky places. The pilgrimage is on gravel field paths, on which the farmers also drive to their pastures and herds. Pastures, forest strips and panoramic views with horizons 30 km away alternate cheerfully; we are reminded of the Black Forest.
