The flood retention basin Ebbinghausen is a flood retention basin of the water association Upper Lippe (WOL) on the Sauer between Ebbinghausen and Atteln in the North Rhine-Westphalian circle Paderborn and belongs to the catchment area of Lippe and Rhine.

As a "green pool", in which normally no water is, it serves the flood protection of the places located below the basin - like Atteln.
