    Better by bike than on foot as the path around it has been paved. In addition, you can hardly get to the water (except at the dam), since this is a drinking water protection area & the border is right on the edge of the road / service road. Nevertheless, there is incredibly beautiful nature 💚

          The reservoir (only built in 1976-82) dams the Kamnitz and is used to supply drinking water; therefore swimming is not allowed. - To go around, it's better to take a bike (I agree) or skis in winter - the paths are wide and developed and a bit boring in parts...
          And yes: there aren't that many views of the lake.
