The old village church, dating from the mid-14th century and featuring a long, strongly recessed chancel, was built of neatly hewn fieldstone. The masonry of the tower is about two meters thick, the other 1.5 meters. The very slight interlocking between the tower and the nave suggests that the tower was built first, which would be a rarity in church construction. On the south side of the chancel, the originally low, round-arched portal, which was later walled up, is still visible.

The hall church was built in the mid-14th century, primarily from fieldstone. It consists of a short nave, a recessed choir to the east, and a church tower the width of the nave to the west. During the renovations in 1723, a boarded extension was added to the pyramidal roof of the church tower, which houses the tower clock.
