Beautiful and long hike to Mount Chaberton. The view is exceptional, the path unfortunately not very varied especially towards the end where only stretches of stony ground can be seen and the same path is a stony ground. However, the view deserves every step.

The hill is located at the intersection between the path coming from Montgenevre and the military road coming from Claviere. From here there is still a good hour to go up to the fort, with a small road that climbs with numerous hairpin bends, but it is worth making a last effort, if you still have breath.
