The area forms a rich cultural environment in terms of opportunities to read building and landscape changes from a long-term perspective. Particularly noteworthy are the Bronze Age and the oldest Iron Age, as well as the effects of the shift to the right.
The area of Ryd-Horda contains one of the five burial places of the municipality and in addition about 15 places with occasional ancient remains, mainly stone piles. The grave field contains round rock formations, hills and cairns and probably dates from the Iron Age, while the lonely cairns represent the Bronze Age.
