The Adorfer marketplace is one of the most beautiful in the Vogtland. Already built in the 13th century in its present size (redesigned in 1996), it still presents itself to its visitors with an extension of 231 meters as the longest market square in the Vogtland.
At the market you will find the town hall, several agricultural houses, the war memorial, the Euregio fountain and the striking St. Michael's Church. At the lower market square is the former post office. This was set up at the request of the Oberpostamt Leipzig in 1699. Goethe stayed here on 03./04.July 1795 on his journey to Karlovy Vary.

In addition, several plaques can be found, such as the plaque commemorating the three Adorfer citizens who fell in 1870 and 1871 in the Franco-German war.
Refreshments exist in the "Rathskeller", in the ice cream café "Am Markt" and in the "Café Wolff".

Adorf / Vogtl. is a small town in the Saxon Vogtlandkreis.

The city is part of the Vogtland Music Corner, in which the manufacture of musical instruments plays a special role.

Adorf is located in the Vogtlandkreis in southwest Saxony, in the valley of the White Elster.
