    Easily accessible hut with a great panorama. Thanks to the cable car and many well-marked paths, there is something for every level of fitness. We prefer to climb up via the quiet Längental and then take the cable car down.

                As the cable car ends here, of course, day tourists and excursionists overcrowded. The hut is more of a local ... Therefore: Quick lace up the mountain boots and explore the Brauneck. On the Kotalm and Co.'s much more comfortable.

                  The ascent and descent by cable car is not cheap (20 € per person), but it's worth it, if you want to go the beautiful, albeit challenging big Braunecker Höhenweg. Take a break for 4 hours and enjoy this wonderful mountain world. The Strasseralmhütte I recommend for a snack. Sure-footedness is required, a head for heights would not be bad, since a short rise in between, however, is somewhat exposed.

                      It is easy to get to. Located between the mountain station and the Brauneck summit.
                      Refreshment and overnight accommodation options.
                      The kitchen is "not special" (as it is very busy).. Beautiful outdoor terrace with a beautiful view.
