not inexpensive, but delicious, to sit nicely, only outside - self-service terrace café in Cologne's Flora. The name "Thanks to Augusta" comes from the fact that Queen Augusta wanted the garden to be made accessible to all of the city's citizens.

The building, which towers high in the grounds of the Botanical Garden, catches the eye of every visitor to the FLORA with its architecture and mirrored windows. I can't say anything about the quality of the restaurant, because when I visited today they obviously didn't want to make any money and were closed.

Excellent quality despite self-service. Terrace with a view of the French fountain and the Italian cascades. Pleasant distances between the tables. The parasols don't make it gloomy like in beer gardens, but still let you feel the daylight.
