The Neukastel castle ruins are located near Leinsweiler in the Südliche Weinstraße district in Rhineland-Palatinate.
- it is a hilltop castle
- probably built in the 12th century
- After being damaged in 1525, it was finally destroyed in 1689
- There is still a rock plateau that has been preserved and can now be reached via a metal staircase
- great all-round visibility or fantastic view
