The Belvedere Tower is located on the Schlossberg in the district garden area in Saarburg.
The Burgmannenhaus Hirtzberg, formerly Bellenhausen, which was described as derelict in 1595 and to whose courtyard the arcade led, collapsed in 1877. Wall sections in the former district garden have been preserved. In 1895, District Administrator Pfeffer von Salomon had a belvedere in the form of a crenellated tower made of red sandstone ashlars built as the end of a wall and instead of a tower.
