          Discover the Bentwoud

          From small and young to large and green. See the forest grow in the Bentwoud. A new forest, with a lot to experience already.

          The Bentwoud is a new nature and recreation area in the Randstad, between Zoetermeer and Boskoop. It may be a young forest, but the layout of the nature reserve was completed in 2016, but it is already a sizeable forest. In recent years, 2.5 million trees and shrubs have been planted and 80 kilometers of walking and cycling paths have been constructed. And yet you have plenty of space: with over 800 hectares, the Bentwoud is the largest continuous forest area in the Randstad.

          Although the Bentwoud is still in full development, there are already many special birds, butterflies and plants to be found. There is also a lot to experience for the visitor. You can enjoy a lovely walk or go on an excursion with the forester. Throughout the area you can get off the trails and stroll through the forest.
