This remarkable tree has a regional history, which I try to show here as well as possible.
History goes back a long way (before people settled in these regions).
The royal trees in the forest ruled wisely and peacefully over their kingdom. They protected the animals in the forest and made sure that there was always enough food for them. Before that, they employed trolls who protected the tree and carried out its orders. In the evening the forest animals passed this tree to thank him for his good care.
An old hunting dog could no longer come with his pack. In the evening, he decided to climb the tree and then jump onto a deer that visited the tree.
The troll warned the dog to stop it. He threatened that the dog would never come out of the tree again. The dog laughed at the troll and did it again. Then the troll turned the dog into wood. He tries in vain to jump out of the tree, his forelegs are already touching the ground, but he has completely merged with the tree.
On the back, the troll's face can still be seen in the tree.
History says that if enough innocent children caress the battered left ear of the dog, it may eventually come out.
It is also a wish tree, if you stroke the dog's head, you can make a wish that fulfills the troll. But be careful: a wish for yourself is not allowed .. Only for others. And only good wishes. Otherwise, the troll will punish you with minor accidents. Stumble, drop things, etc. Nothing serious, but as a warning of your selfishness.
