The Caritas Haus Feldberg is a modern clinic with a turbulent history. The house was opened in 1920 as a non-profit recreation and hiking home for underprivileged youth of Diözesan Caritasverband on the estate "Jägermatt". After a fire in 1923, a new building was built at the present location, which went into operation in 1925 and soon became a sought-after nursery. Over the years, the home has been steadily expanded, rebuilt and renovated. After the sale to the Nuremberg construction company "ITZ Clinic Projects GmbH & Co KG Clinic Caritas Haus Feldberg" the property was completely renovated and converted into a modern clinic. In 1995, the "interdisciplinary therapy center of the European Clinic Treuhand und Management AG and the Caritas Association of the Archdiocese of Freiburg" was opened, where mother-child cures and child and youth rehab were offered. In 2011, the Caritas-Haus Feldberg became an independent, non-profit GmbH, whose main shareholder is the Caritas-Haus Feldberg Foundation.
