The Kocain cave was used at least since Byzantine times (this is evidenced by ancient cisterns a few tens of meters from the entrance). It was only rediscovered in 1919.
The entrance portal is really huge, about 70 meters wide and over 20 meters high. Overall, the cave is over 600 meters long.
About 4 km from the cave there is a closed barrier, from here we continued on foot (apparently you can also call the number given there and you get the keys for it, but nobody answered our phone).
