    Great Elbe view with upper and Unterfeuer. The way from here to Freiburg or coming from Freiburg can be very long in unfavorable wind direction - but where is that not so 😉

          From the dike you have an impressive view of the historic Balzer lighthouse and the top light of the Balje directional light line. The old Balje lighthouse was in operation from 1904 to 1980. A support association has been taking care of this maritime monument since 2005. A visit is also possible.
          You can already see Brunsbüttel and Neufeld on the other side.

              Unfortunately access to it is blocked and you can't even get to the lighthouse, but it's still impressive.                 Closed on Fridays and Mondays.

                Admission is free.
