For Livigno was born in 1968 Lago di Livigno a stroke of luck. Suddenly, the Italian alpine village was reached by a tunnel connection from Switzerland or Germany in a useful time. The inhabitants have nothing to say in terms of the lake but still today - what they still busy.

And so Livigno was suddenly accessible from southern Germany or Switzerland in a few hours and quickly turned into a well-known winter sports resort. The status of a duty-free zone, which Napoleon is said to have granted to the valley as early as 1805, still contributes much to economic development today.
