The 335 meter high Nonnenstromberg is one of the seven eponymous mountains in the Siebengebirge. According to a traditional legend, the name comes from two pious women who sought refuge there during the Crusades. In fact, it dates back to the Middle Ages, when the nearby Petersberg was still called Stromberg.
