The curved roof of this beautiful and elegant tower is modeled on the wings of a crane. The wood for the tower (Douglas firs and larches) was felled in the Schorfheide-Chorin biosphere reserve.

From the viewing platform you have a wonderful view of the polder landscape, the Oder stream and the Oder slopes. The tower stands in the immediate vicinity of one of the ice guard houses that were built at regular intervals on the banks of the Oder.

Observation towers always have an enormous attraction. So does this one, which provides an excellent view of the banks of the Oder. We met young ornithologists who counted the individual migratory bird species. At the foot of the tower there is a bench where you can rest.

The early morning hours on the Oder with the birds in the flooded meadows and the sunrise greeting the day is truly magical. A perfect place to take a break and enjoy the view. And the paved path behind it offers an opportunity for the adventurous to continue straight to Schwedt and Krajnik Dolny - as long as the meadows are not flooded. A true natural oasis for cyclists and nature lovers!
