If you follow the sign on Wildrose Road, which announces "Skidoo" in about 19 miles, you should be prepared to find no more buildings from the old gold mining town. The buildings consisted rather of tents covered with wood. According to history, people were publicly hanged here.
If you continue to walk along the road and into the surrounding hills, you will find smaller relics and numerous (closed) mine entrances. About one kilometer further on, the way to the impressive Skidoo Mill is worthwhile.
