As you stroll through Bosjökloster and see the park, the castle courtyard, the cellar vaults, the church and the castle garden, you will come into contact with the main part of the castle. They take in all the things that tell the earliest history of Bosjökloster, which have been in the 900 years of development - from the nunnery to the present castle - always been there.

No one can say exactly when Bosjökloster was founded. However, most of the people who researched the castle's history assume that it happened in the first half of the 12th century. It was the Benedictine monks who built a nunnery here on the shores of Lake Ring.

When the Reformation was introduced in the 16th century in the then belonging to Denmark Schonen, the monastery was dissolved. Today's Bosjökloster can still many things, which reminds of the time of the nuns, exhibit, among other things. the unchanged vaults, once the refectory of the nuns, the church, which is still today the church of the congregation, the small cemetery where the nuns rest under simple tombstones, and in the park the thousand-year-old oak that still keeps growing every year.
