This 600-year old-castle is Denmark's only inhabited medieval mansion. It was built from limestone from Stevns Klint and it's not open to the public, although it's possible to admire it from a distance.

Gjorslev Castle, 600 years old, is Denmark's only inhabited medieval castle, built from limestone from Stevns Klint and large bricks. The Gjorslev estate formerly encompassed most of Stevns, and today still comprises 1,650 hectares of farmland and forest.

The park is located south and west of the castle and is landscaped in the English style with many freestanding trees. The park itself is approximately 10 hectares and has a 42-meter-long pergola planted with roses and clematis, planted in 1997.

There is free access to parts of the large castle park, but "No Entry" signs should also be observed. Visits to the park can be made from the road between Magleby and Holtug through a gate in the small parking lot.
