Burgsteinfurt Castle boasts a truly ancient history, and there is much to discover there. The castle was first mentioned in 1129. Since then, it has experienced much, even being largely destroyed and subsequently rebuilt. Today, no trace of this remains in the ring-shaped castle complex. The Bentheim and Steinfurt family currently resides in the estate, which also houses the princely administration.

A beautiful moated castle in the heart of Burgsteinfurt. Unfortunately, it can only be visited rarely as it is still inhabited. The town center, just 500 meters away, offers cozy cafes and ice cream parlors, while the Bagno Park adjacent to the castle is perfect for walking and cycling.

Nice park around the castle with the nearby castle mill. The castle is privately owned and therefore cannot be visited.
