The North Sea port of Harlesiel is divided into an outer and an inland port. The island ferries to the island of Wangerooge, excursion ships for trips to the Wadden Sea, transport ships for island supply, fishing cutters and a few other special ships are located in the outer harbor. The sheltered inland port offers a large number of berths for sailors and motor boats. The Harlesiel yacht club is also located here. Both ports are connected by a lock.

Around the museum harbor in Caroliensiel there are nice restaurants and cafes or you just sit on one of the benches and enjoy the flair

In the Wattwanderzentrum (in the small shop under the restaurant) you can fill your bottle with tap water for free. Ideal for longer trips when the water supply is used up;)
