NordArt is one of the largest art exhibitions in Europe. Around 1,000 works of art are on display. This year, the 25th Nord Art will take place in the summer months. You can find out more at nordart.de .

To get a first impression, you should plan on spending 4 hours on your visit.

Parking is easy at the RONDO shopping center (Am Ahlmannkai 2).

The north may seem rough, but it has charm. Hardly any other exhibition location sums up this unique atmosphere as well as the former iron foundry of Carlshütte, the first industrial company of the Duchies of Schleswig and Holstein. Founded in 1827 and closed in 1997, the Carlshütte located in Büdelsdorf is not only an impressive industrial monument, but also offers an unusual ambience for cultural events of all kinds with its huge hall aisles, the restored ACO carriage house and the spacious park area.

NordArt, which has been taking place in the summer months since 1999, is one of the largest annual exhibitions of contemporary art in Europe. NordArt is a judged exhibition that is redesigned annually as a total work of art. It offers a comprehensive panorama of international contemporary art in a special ambience. More than 200 selected artists from all over the world show their pictures, photographs, videos, sculptures and installations that not only speak for themselves, but also develop new perspectives with and against each other in the interplay and against the unique backdrop of the Carlshütte and in the historical sculpture park.
