The path climbs steeply and historic border stones from 1729 show that you are now directly on the Hessian-Bavarian border path. The effort of the climb is followed, assuming good visibility, by a brilliant panoramic view from the observation tower, which is almost 24 meters high and has 122 steps. From the summit, a grassy path leads downhill and straight to the almost 600 meter high Kleine Haube.

Now I've managed to get on the hood, I have to say the tower is pretty high, but also a great view of my local mountain Dreistelz. at 2 degrees below zero with sun but very fresh wind, the tower even wobbles a little bit.
