In the middle of Thuringia, the green heart of Germany, lies the former racetrack of the Duchy of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Thanks to the fantastic view of the royal city of Gotha and the castle Friedenstein as well as the panorama of the Thuringian Forest, the natural track is a popular recreational area.
The magnificent grandstand in Victorian style has witnessed many great horse races and makes up the charm of the complex. The Boxberg is one of the longest flat race tracks in Germany.
It is said that race days on the Boxberg were unforgettable moments in which the past touched the present.
