    2.6 km follow the old route, while you cycle mostly on a water-bound ceiling. By the way, the former cable car belonged to the mine Minister Achenbach, which was shut down in the 1990s. On the way you will pass relics of the mining industry. Most striking is probably the so-called "Colani egg": former winding tower, now a business lounge. The path is a nice connection between Datteln-Hamm and Dortmund-Ems-Kanal.

On March 5th, 1923, the cable car went into operation and produced the first coal to shaft 1/2. This cable car was built right through the town of Brambauer. From shaft 4, the route led behind the gardens of the colliery colony, past the old cemetery in the direction of Waltroper Strasse. There the cable car crossed Waltroper Strasse in the area of the Wittekindschule (the then Auguste-Victoria-Schule). The route then led across open fields to the Gasthof Fels. There was a cable tensioning station and a curve to guide the cable car towards Shaft 1/2.
