Many people believe that the northernmost point of the country is on the Grenen headland, where two seas meet. But that is not true, because it is actually here on the north beach, about 3 km from Grenen in a west-northwest direction.

Nordsøstien - the North Sea hiking trail is part of a route over 5000 km long that runs along historic paths around the entire North Sea. Part of the trail also goes through the Land of Light. There are sections along the west coast and the Kattegat coast (from Løkken to Skagen) and along the east coast (from Skagen to Voerså). For the individual sections in North Jutland, there are leaflets with maps and descriptions of the sights that you pass.
The hiking trail, marked with blue signs, runs mainly along field and forest paths and back roads. In some places there are only footpaths that follow the terrain, windbreak hedges, etc. Sights are pointed out by means of information boards. The leaflets are available from tourist offices, among others.
