About the winery:
De Krans Wine Cellar, located in the picturesque Gamka River Valley in Calitzdorp, Klein Karoo, has a rich history dating back to 1890 when it was purchased by the Nel family. The current cellar, built in 1964 by Chris Nel and his brother Danie, is known as one of the most innovative wine cellars in South Africa.
