The "love storm" on Silba was built in 1872 by a sailor named Petar Marinic for his lover Domenica Rasol. Originally he had promised your mother that if he came back from seafaring. he would build a house with a garden for her and a tower in it, from which she would be able to see the whole island and see when he arrives.
However, at some point his beloved was tired of waiting and married another and fathered a daughter, Domenica said. When Petar came back from Lake after long years, he saw the daughter who looked so much like her mother that he fell in love with her and built the tower for her instead of the mother.
The tower actually offers a wonderful view over the city of Silba and the surrounding sea. The access to the tower is accessible via the gate to the right of the tower and is freely accessible, even if you feel like walking through the garden of a resident. At the top, the steps are very narrow, so rather something for halfway dizzying people. It may be better to climb the lanky tower one by one, but the view is worth it ...
