Six wooden figures sit on a round table on this roundabout. The five large figures represent the five districts of Rodgau: Nieder-Roden, Dudenhofen, Hainhausen, Jügesheim and Weiskirchen. The smaller figure represents the settlement of Rollwald, which is part of the Nieder-Roden district of the city, but is still like a sixth pearl at the southern end of the Rodgau town chain. Each wooden figure weighs between 70 and 80 kg.
The figure group was created in 2007 by Walter Stolz. In 2014 this gyro art was destroyed by a traffic accident. In the same year, the figure installation was rebuilt with the help of Til Stolz, the son of Walter Stolz, who has since died.
In my eyes, it's not just an interesting eye-catcher if you can get right past it. Some time ago I saw the figures from a distance, against the backdrop of a bright sunrise. Really very nice thanks to the striking profiles.
