Perched above the historic village of Trinity on the Bonavista Peninsula, Rider’s Hill offers a short but dynamic climb and sweeping 360-degree views over Trinity Harbour, Fisher Cove and the open Atlantic. The trail rises out of town, passes through forest and historic lookout points, and leads to the hilltop where remnants of defence batteries still hint at the town’s past. The best light hits near late afternoon, and you’ll find the outlooks especially photogenic in the warm evening glow. While the terrain can get steeper toward the summit, the payoff is one of Newfoundland’s most dramatic small-hill vantage points.
