Kurjey Lhakhang is a significant and sacred temple complex in Bumthang, Bhutan. Named after the "body imprint" (Kur-Jey) of Guru Rinpoche in a cave, the complex consists of three temples: the oldest, Guru Lhakhang, built in 1652; the second, erected by the first king of Bhutan; and the third, built in 1984 by the queen of the third king. It is a popular pilgrimage site, particularly due to its association with the subjugation of a local deity and as the final resting place of the first three kings of Bhutan.
