Surrounded by forest, a place with a very special charm opens up to you. Rock towers in the middle of a green meadow invite you to climb, picnic and take a break. A real place to relax and let off steam. With a bit of luck, the Naturfreunde hut will open and provide you with cool drinks.

The prehistoric rock formation Kemitzenstein is located in front of Kümmersreuth, between Bad Staffelstein and Wattendorf. The limestone rock reef is not very high, but ideal for climbing friends to practice.
The Staffelsteiner "nature lovers" operate here a refuge for members. When I was there in August 2017, a sign hung on the door, that here no management (more) takes place!

The Kemitzenstein near Kümmersreuth is a real highlight for those who like rock formations, you can explore them, climb or use the via ferrata. There are plenty of places to sit and relax. Parking is available behind Kümmersreuth at the Kaider rest area.
