Medway Valley Heritage Forest spans 129-hectares, protecting steep valley slopes, floodplain forests, and the winding course of Medway Creek. It’s part of the Thames River watershed and includes swamps, marshes, and mature woodland that support sensitive species and diverse wildlife. This area is designated as an Environmentally Significant Area, and is one of London’s most ecologically important green spaces.
