A remarkable anecdote concerns 41 men of the 13th Company Labour Corps, who were killed on 9th January 1918 when a German bomber hit an ammunition truck. Their graves are in Plot II, Row F, and bear silent witness to the dangers faced by not only soldiers but also support troops during the war.

Designed by Reginald Blomfield, it features a Cross of Sacrifice and a Stone of Remembrance. Total burials: 1,602, and 234 unidentified. Established in 1917 and maintained by the Commonwealth.
