Žagar Hill near Tuzla
Žagar Hill is located in the vicinity of Tuzla, in the Majevica mountain range. With an altitude of about 609 meters, it is one of the most recognizable peaks in the Tuzla region.
Numerous hiking and forest trails lead to Žagar, which are part of popular routes such as Sjenjak – Gradovrh – Grabovica – Žagar – Gornja Tuzla. These trails are used not only by hikers and nature lovers, but also by many recreational mountain bikers, as the terrain offers an ideal combination of gravel roads, forest sections and moderate climbs.
During the hike to Žagar, there is a beautiful view of the surrounding settlements and the forested slopes of Majevica, and the area is known for its clean air and peaceful natural environment. In winter, the hill is also attractive for winter hiking tours, while in spring and autumn it is popular among cyclists and hikers from Tuzla and the surrounding area.
