Culebrillas canyon (Quebrada de Culebrillas) is a natural formation and an archaeological site, known for many petroglyphs (rock engravings). The petroglyphs have figures of animals, geometric designs and anthropomorphic forms among others. The petroglyphs are important in understanding local pre‑Inca cultures (especially Wari). Culebrillas canyon is National Cultural Heritage (“Patrimonio Cultural de la Nación”) site in Peru.
The site forms part of the Ruta del Sillar (“Sillar Route”), a popular tour in Arequipa.
