The villa, a stately home that evolved in the 18th century from an original fortification with a keep, is used as a venue for weddings, conferences, and the like.
The park was created in the early 19th century as a botanical garden, curated by architect Xavier Kurten. It is home to numerous species of exotic and non-exotic plants, including 86 different types of hydrangea! It can be visited by reservation and for a fee, and is definitely worth the price: besides being interesting and well-maintained, with explanatory panels in front of each interesting plant, it is truly beautiful to look at. For large groups, there is also the option of a guided tour, which is definitely worth organizing.
