A state yard with historic buildings in good condition. The small church of St. Vitus belongs to the estate, was first mentioned in the 14th century and was last renovated around 40 years ago.

St. Vitus (Zellhof)

The Catholic chapel of St. Vitus in Zellhof, a district of the municipality of Schöngeising in the Upper Bavarian district of Fürstenfeldbruck, was built in the 12th/13th century. Built in the 17th and 18th centuries. Century expanded and baroqueized. The chapel dedicated to St. Vitus is a protected monument.[1]

St. Vitus stands north of the estate in the middle of an abandoned cemetery, which only contains wrought iron grave crosses from the 18th to 20th centuries.

The Romanesque hall building has a retracted choir that closes and a roof turret. Small Romanesque arched windows can be seen in the choir, which have been released again.

The altar has a figure of St. Vitus in the middle from around 1670. The late Gothic crucifix is dated around 1525/30. The flat coffered ceiling, which was transferred here in 1972, was created around 1600.

During the last renovation in 1971/72, Roman shards and pieces of brick were found here.

Zellhof is a part of the municipality of Schöngeising in the Upper Bavarian district of Fürstenfeldbruck.

The hamlet consists of the eponymous listed old Zellhof farm complex with the St. Vitus Chapel and two other residential buildings on Zellhofstrasse. It is located northeast of Schöngeising on the edge of the nature reserve.
