The village of Petrovskoye got its name thanks to the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, mentioned in documents since 1504.
In July 1950, the stone church building was completely destroyed. The only surviving building is a one-story building near the church, about 30 meters long. Initially, it was an almshouse, and in Soviet times, a room for a glass-blowing workshop was added to it. After that, the building was handed over to the community of believers.
In 2015, construction began on a new Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul. On May 25, 2019, domes with crosses were installed on the church.
