Håvilsrud is a cross-border town that's known as Kjerret on the Norwegian side. It's a stop on the Finnskogleden long-distance hike, a beautiful journey through unspoiled woodlands along the Norway/Sweden border. In terms of accommodation, there's an open shelter by Jösseälven, or Ronja Gård’s B&B and cabins, a further 1-kilometre (0.6 mi) north along the 361 road; or the Håvilsrud Vildmarks Camp, which has cabins and space to pitch a tent.
