The Túristvánd watermill is the only industrial monument still standing in its original location and in working order, and is considered a rarity in Central Europe. The three-wheeled, under-tap watermill built on Túr was built in the 18th century, but a mill was probably already operating in its place in the 15th century.
The exterior of the building has three balconies, which provide a good view of the Túr River and its beautiful surroundings. On the south side are the damming sluice, the water chest and the under-tap, paddle waterwheels.
The modernisation of the current mill was completed in 1927. The building was professionally reconstructed between 1962-65, and then renovated between 1995 and 1998. The mill structure is therefore still suitable for operation and grinding today.
