The Visselquelle, located next to the St. Johannis Church, has caused great concern to the Visselhövedern in the recent past, as it became more and more algae and muddy. In spring 2020, another attempt was made to master the plague. A completely redesigned area around the source was created. Reeds and grasses were planted on the flat spots to improve the water quality. Artificial hills have been created and the banks are designed with boulders from the heather. It is now possible to get directly to the water.
