History of St. Lawrence Church
The St. Lawrence's Church was built in the 18th century in Baroque style on the site of a 10th century former church.
Only the Romanesque tower of the previous church has survived to this day. In 1724 the baroque church was consecrated.
In times of occupation by Napoleon's troops and misused and badly damaged, it survived this period and in 1814 was returned to service as a place of worship.
