On the occasion of the International Year of Forests 2011 and following on from a more than hundred-year-old tradition of cultivating exotic tree species in the Quinter State Forest, the Trier Forestry Office was able to experience more than 21 different tree species from almost every continent on earth on a 3.8 km long, easily walkable circular route made. In 2015, around 2 km of the section was made wheelchair accessible.
