The Nikolo-Peshnoshsky Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in the Moscow region, founded in 1361 by St. Methodius, a monk and disciple of St. Sergius of Radonezh. The monastery grounds include the Nikolsky Cathedral, the St. Sergius and Epiphany churches with a bell tower, the Transfiguration Church above the gate, and the churches of St. Demetrius of Thessaloniki and Sretenskaya. In addition to the temple complex, there are bishop's chambers, a holy spring, a teahouse, and a refectory. The Nikolsky Cathedral contains the relics of St. Methodius. A very beautiful and blessed place!
