The Zúñiga Palace in Almagro is one of the many historic palaces that enrich the heritage of this city in La Mancha, declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1972. Although it is not one of the best known like the Palace of the Fúcares or that of the Counts of Valdeparaíso, it is part of the architectural legacy that flourished especially between the 16th and 17th centuries, when Almagro enjoyed its golden age as the headquarters of the Order of Calatrava and a commercial and cultural centre.
